For a very long time, people like to have pet animals and birds. It’s really a great fun to have chickens in your home. Pet chickens are affordable and easy to look after. Chickens need nest boxes to sleep. One important benefit of having pet chickens is finding eggs on a daily basis. A chicken normally lays 6 to 7 eggs a week. Chickens can be obtained from any pet shop. Chickens are very self-sufficient and don’t require too much care and attention. Chickens eat worms, grass and snails. Chickens like to walk in the open area such as backyard and garden.
It is advised to have two or more chickens, as an individual chicken will become bossy. Having chickens is less expensive. A healthy chicken can live for 15 years of age. Chickens give eggs in exchange of the money you spend on their care. Baby chickens require more care in winter days and security from other animals. Chickens like to live as family group.
These days, there is a trend of producing battery chickens but battery hen’s egg yolk is not yellowish in color as the natural egg’s yolk. Chickens like to have dust bath. Chickens can be housed in a rabbit hutch. In garden, chickens like to scratch with their feet. Basically Chickens like to spend a free and ruff- tuff life. It would be better to grow them naturally as they like. It’s a cheap and beneficial hobby to have pet chickens.
