Ducklings grow fast and necessitate food high in protein and calories. Pellets should be small that ducklings can easily eat. Diet for first three weeks should have 18-20 per cent protein.
Laying ducks require high amount of calcium and proteins in their diet. Laying ducks should be offered diet with 16-17 per cent protein and calcium. Ducks can also be fed chopped hard-boiled eggs, tomatoes, bugs, garden snails, worms, night crawlers, mealworms, bloodworms, and floating coy food. Switch your ducks to a maintenance diet when they stop laying eggs. Drakes should be fed a maintenance diet that is 14 per cent protein.
